The Babcock family was at Winter Quarters



These names were recorded on the memorial plaque at Winter Quarters, near Omaha Nebraska.  Your ancestor, George Babcock, was not married at the time and had no children yet.  These names were probably cousins of George and his brother, Adolphus.  Both joined the church in 1832, either in New York or in Missouri.  They were in Nauvoo and left with the first saints in February 1846 or 1847.  We really do have a pioneer ancestory......
